Fitness Tip: Should You Get Rid of DOMS

I recently spoke with people who have started working again after a long break. One of the things I talk to them is about DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle pain). What is basically is the pain felt in the muscles a day or two after exercise. Now let's be clear, I do not speak of pain that makes you feel miserable, but more of a pain that makes you laugh drowned when moving that particular muscle.

If you regularly work our, you know what I mean. If you do not want to experience this thing and pains, all you have to do is get up and do 50 knee bends at the time. Then when you wake up tomorrow or the next day, you feel pain in the legs and thighs hurt. See how simple, I do things? If you want to know about all things scientific causes and such, then you should look elsewhere, I'm not particularly into the details here, okay?

So now we all know what this feels like the pain, the next question is how can we prevent it from happening? The answer may surprise you and can make you crazy, but if you read my stuff and follow my teachings, should not surprise you. What I say about the judgment that DOMS do!

Oh, of course, this feeling of pain may not be the most pleasant, but I must tell you that you are doing something in your body, and that something is good!

Others said that getting a deep tissue massage is good for that feeling disappears. Others said they drink plenty of water "take charge" of pain, so to speak. I even read that eating certain foods can reduce the pain of that feeling.

All those who can work, in fact I encourage you to do all three, but in terms of the elimination of pain or fail to happen, I say nothing, notta, not going to happen in my world.

Why? Because the pain is, IMHO, a good thing! They keep you honest, keep you knowing that you are doing something, they are a good measure of your exercise routine.

Face it, if you do not get them, so how can you know if what you are doing is working for you? Push your body to do more and more is a good thing, within reason. Nobody will tell train to be an Olympic athlete, but training your body to be better and better what we all should do. Oh, and here's a big secret, the best way to get rid of pain is to keep working, which is also a way to get them. Only one of those paradoxes of the year, I suppose.

So to that I say, bring on the pain! Learn to love, accept, embrace them. While you feel, you will see positive improvements with your body.
